The aged elf Rahadin is the Chamberlain of Ravenloft and loyal servant to the Lord Strahd. He has been with him for centuries tending to the needs of the castle and the surrounding villages. Besides Strahd, Rahadin shows complete contempt for every other living creature.
Appearance
Rahadin is a pale brownish grey elf well over five centuries old. His face face and hands a web of scars and age lines from centuries of battle. He rides a pale white horse, similarly scarred from battle, seemingly as eternal as Rahadin himself. He carries a large sword emblazoned with the Von Zarovich family crest. He wears simple but finely crafted black clothes and cloak.
Chamberlain
Following King Barov’s death, Rahadin swore fealty to Strahd, the heir to the throne. Following Strahd’s conquest he named his conquered valley after his late father, Barovia. He then set to secure a place of power within the Barovia and began restoring an old castle sat atop a stone spire. Strahd invited his mother, the queen to stay with him and named the castle after her, Ravenloft. Having secured his place of power, Strahd named Rahadin as his Chamberlain, to tend to manners of the castle and the surrounding lands.
